By creating an account or using ABASAM, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and ABASAM.

2. Description of Service

ABASAM is a mobile application that helps users understand official documents by providing simplified translations, summaries, and action item extraction. The service uses AI-powered analysis to process documents. All user data is encrypted using AES-256 encryption.

3. User Accounts

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• You must be at least 16 years old to use ABASAM (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction)
• Your account data is protected by AES-256 encryption with keys stored in hardware-backed secure storage
• You must provide explicit consent to our Privacy Policy and data processing practices

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any illegal purpose
• Upload content that violates the rights of others
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service
• Use automated systems to access the service beyond normal usage
• Attempt to circumvent encryption or security measures

5. AI-Generated Content

ABASAM uses artificial intelligence to analyze and translate documents. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated translations and summaries may contain errors. ABASAM's output should not be considered legal, medical, or financial advice. Always consult a qualified professional for critical decisions.

6. Data Protection & Your Rights

We are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable data protection laws. You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Rectify inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent at any time
• Object to certain processing activities

7. Data Security

We implement robust security measures to protect your data:

• AES-256 encryption for vault data at rest
• Hardware-backed key storage on supported devices
• Row Level Security for database isolation
• Optional PIN and biometric device-level protection

While we take every reasonable measure to protect your data, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

8. Subscription & Freemium Model

ABASAM offers both free and premium subscription tiers:

• Free Tier: Limited to 3 document scans per month and 5 saved documents in your vault.
• ABASAM+ (Premium): Unlimited scans and vault storage, available via monthly or annual subscription.

Subscriptions are managed through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). You can cancel at any time through your device's subscription settings. Refunds are subject to the respective store's refund policy.

9. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of any documents you upload. The ABASAM app, its design, and its underlying technology are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws.

10. Limitation of Liability

ABASAM is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from the use of AI-generated translations or summaries. The service should be used as a supplementary tool, not as a replacement for professional translation services.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for matters which cannot be limited or excluded by applicable law.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time through Settings → Data & Privacy → Delete My Account. Upon deletion, all your data will be permanently removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification or email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by applicable law. For users in the European Union, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under EU law.
